The SX440 Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) is a reliable generator control component designed for use with brushless excitation systems. It continuously monitors the generator output and adjusts the excitation to help maintain stable voltage under changing load, speed, temperature, and power-factor conditions.

The SX440 uses a half-wave phase-controlled thyristor design and provides closed-loop voltage control with regulation of approximately ±1%. It also includes under-speed and sensing-loss protection features to support safe and dependable generator operation.
